Ultrasonic  welding machine is the process of converting electric current into electric energy through ultrasonic generator.

The converted high-frequency electric energy then converted into the mechanical motion of the same frequency again through

the transducer, and the mechanical movement is transmitted to the welding head through a set of horn device which can change the amplitude. The vibration energy received by the welding head is transferred to the joint of the work piece to be welded. In this area, the vibration energy is converted into heat energy by friction, and the plastic is melted. Ultrasonic can be used not only to weld hard thermoplastic plastics, but also to process fabrics and films. Heat energy comes from the reciprocating movement of a work piece on another surface with a certain displacement or amplitude under a certain pressure. Once the expected welding degree is reached, the vibration will stop, and at the same time, there will still be a certain pressure applied to the two work pieces to cool and solidify the just welded parts, thus forming a close combination.

1.When the size of the air hose of the ultrasonic welding machine is different from that of the air compressor, you may need to select a suitable hose reducer/adapter. The adapter is to joint the two different hose.(Dizo ultrasonic welder needs a hose with 8mm outer diameter and this 8mm diameter hose will be sent together with the ultrasonic welder. )

2.Firstly, please noted that our ultrasonic welding machine requires 220V power supply (Sometimes a transformer or an adapter needs to be prepared ).Make sure what does the socket of 220V power supply looks like, then pay attention to choose a power cord which fit the 220V electric socket. FAQ about ultrasonic slab machine

1. Question: What would be the first step to do when I get the ultrasonic welder? Do I need to lift the horn by the big wheel?


1) Dizo ultrasonic welding machine needs 220V power supply, Please make sure the power supply and an air compressor are already prepared. 

2) There is no need to lift the horn by the big wheel.The horn will be easily lifted as long as the machine is already connect with air compressor. 

2. Question: How low the horn should be?

Answer: Before the ultrasonic equipment shipping, Dizo’s engineers already adjust the position of the welding horn. You can also have a check when receive the machine: set the machine in manual mode firstly and put your sample in, then press two green buttons at the same time, then the horn will go down. Please check whether the welding horn will be contact with the lower fixture , and there should be no gap between the horn and lower fixture.

3. Question:How the hose is connected to the machine? What is the diameter of your pipes?

Answer: Please refer to the article 《preparation work of ultrasonic welder》. Outer diameter of our hose is 8mm.

4. Question:Your machine is 220V, my power supply is 110V. Do I need a transformer?

Answer: Please refer to the article 《preparation work of ultrasonic welder》

5.     Question: What is the air pressure should be set at?

Answer: It depends on the slab. The slab’s material are different, so should be with different air pressure. But it is more often set below 50 psi.

6. Question:How can I change the welding pressure?

Answer: Pull the rotary knob “Press adjustment”, and then rotate it. Please rotate more to adjust the welding pressure.

7. QuestionWhat is the air pressure should be set at?

Answer: It depends on the slab. The slab’s material are different, so should be with different air pressure. But it is more often set below 50 psi.

8. Question:How can I change the welding pressure?

9. Question:There is no sound/noise when I run the machine?

Answer: For Dizo ultrasonic slab machine, the noise is already relatively small. Therefore,Please pay more attention to the welding effect.

10 Question:How to put my slab?

Answer:The correct way is to put it--face down.

11.  Question:There is scratches on the welded slab

Answer: The horn is hard material, and the slab is made of plastic.So our suggestion is that please put the slab inside a soft plastic bag and then start welding work , which will help to prevent the scratches.

12.Question:When the slab is welded, it looks fine. But after 2 or 3 days, there is crack on the slab.

Answer: That means too much pressure when the slab been welded. Decrease the air pressure a bit.

13.Question:I am afraid I will waste too many slabs for testing

Answer: Before shipping, Dizo’s engineer already debugging the machine. Therefore, when you receive the machine, you only need to slightly adjust the machine. Please kindly contact us before your testing. We will help you save your slab.

14.Question:The horn is moving when working.

Answer: There is small screws to lock the horn. Rotate the screw to fasten the horn. Meanwhile, each time you have adjusted the leveling, remember to lock the horn and make it can not move.

15.Question:The slab is not sealing strong, it is easy to open

Answer: Contact us directly. There are some factors may result in this problem. Like horn’s position, the parameter setting, the air pressure, etc. We will help you find the exact problem and solve it.

16.Question:There is whitening or white mark on the slab.

Answer: There are many factors that cause the whitening: 

1) Is the selection of the equipment correct? Not all the ultrasonic welder suitable for the slab.

2) The material of the box also has a great influence. Besides these two points, there are two ways to reduce or eliminate the whitening, mechanical debugging and parameter adjustment.
